YMCA of Greater Indianapolis is seeking a Program Instructor of Cheer to provide quality leadership and supervision in cheerleading and motor skill classes, while maintaining a safe, non-competitive environment for members.

A minimum age of 16, ability to demonstrate basic technique, and clear communication with preschool to middle school children are required. Current First Aid and Child Abuse Prevention certifications, or the ability to obtain within 90 days, are expected.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cheerleading or teaching is preferred.
• A minimum of 16 years of age.
• Ability to demonstrate basic technique and form.
• Ability to communicate with preschool to middle school aged children.
• Visually inspect participation space for safety.
• Maintain current certifications in First Aid, Child Abuse Prevention and New Employee Orientation or the ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.

Responsabilités

• The Program Instructor of Cheer will be primarily responsible for providing quality leadership and supervision in cheerleading and/ or motor skill classes, while maintaining a safe, non-competitive environment for YMCA members.
• Visually inspect participation space for safety and ensure equipment is safe for use.
