SongTeller Hotel in Nashville is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Host to join Jolene's dining team. This role focuses on delivering welcome hospitality, guiding guests to seats, and coordinating with servers to ensure a smooth dining experience, in a venue that blends music, style, and iconic Dolly-inspired charm.

The ideal candidate will have restaurant hosting experience, basic computer skills, and a willingness to work across roles as needed in a dynamic hotel environment on the Jolene's floor.

Qualifications

• Restaurant host experience preferred.
• Previous restaurant host technology preferred.
• Must be able to obtain Food handler certification.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Basic computer knowledge and usage preferred.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and deliver the welcomed message as trained by manager.
• Seat guests using OpenTable and communicate with servers/bussers via chit when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in compliance with health codes.
• Perform service, busser and runner duties as appropriate.
• Willing to work in other disciplines within the department as directed by management.
• Handle POS transactions and participate in upselling strategies.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Checks with Manager for daily objectives
• Inspectshost desk/area for proper cleanliness andconfirm supplies are all properly stocked
• Greet guests with a smile and deliver the welcomed message as trained by manager
• Seat guests usingOpentable, bringing proper menus and communicate to servers/bussersvia chit when necessary
• Maintains a clean and sanitary environment in compliance with all local and federal health codes
• Performs service,busserand runner duties as appropriate
• Must be willing to work in other disciplines within the department as directed by management
• UsesPOS accurately. Handles credit card transactions as directed
• Participate inupsellingstrategies as directed by management
• Participates in daily line ups
• Practicesservice standards and current training throughout service. Assumes duties of Supervisor in absence or as directed
