Orthopaedic-Total Joint Replacement Surgeon

Montefiore Einstein Health System (MHS), comprising over 12 hospitals and numerous outpatient facilities, is a leading healthcare provider in the Bronx and Hudson Valley.

We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, and growth-oriented Total Joint Replacement Surgeon to join our expanding Orthopedic practice at our New Windsor, NY location, with privileges at Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital (MSLC) in Newburgh, NY. This position is a replacement for a recently retired total joint surgeon, with immediate patient volume guaranteed.

The surgeon will focus on maintaining and expanding an active adult reconstruction practice, collaborating closely with colleagues in outpatient and inpatient settings to deliver high-quality care. The practice is supported by specialists in Spine, Hand, and Shoulder surgery, along with experienced PAs and MAs, most of whom have been with the team for over 5 years. The outpatient space includes Pain management and Podiatry, with Physical Therapy co-located with the surgeon's clinic. The affiliation with MSLC provides access to a shared electronic health record for seamless documentation and access to medical records. The operating rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, allowing efficient multi-room access and quick turnovers, supported by skilled OR techs. The anesthesia team, experienced in complex cases, is part of Montefiore Einstein. The inpatient orthopedic unit features private rooms with views of the Hudson River and specialized nursing care.

Call responsibilities are 1:4, decreasing as the practice grows. Emergency room coverage at MSLC is required for 8 weeks annually, with additional compensation available for extra call duties.

Compensation includes a competitive salary ranging from $300,000 to $800,000, with potential for supplemental income through productivity incentives. Benefits include LTD, STD, malpractice insurance, health, dental, vision, and a 403(b) plan. Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery and Fellowship trained, with the ability to obtain a NY State Medical License.
