Job summary

SAIC located at Camp Smith in Hawaii seeks an experienced Joint Lessons Learned Analyst to support USPACOM by analyzing and managing lessons learned from exercises and real-world operations.

You will serve as the JLLIS analyst, train staff on documentation, maintain lessons-learned databases and reports, and deliver briefs to ensure findings are integrated into future planning and operations. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of related work experience; mid-level to senior officer experience.

Description

SAIC is seeking an experienced Joint Lessons Learned Analyst located at Camp Smith in Hawaii to support USPACOM to analyze and manage lessons learned from exercises and real-world operations—serving as the JLLIS analyst, training staff on documentation, and maintaining lessons-learned databases and reports. It also represents J751 at battle rhythm events and delivers briefs to ensure relevant findings are communicated and integrated into future planning and operations.

NOTE May be required to travel throughout the US Pacific region

Job Description

• Facilitate the observation and evaluation of exercise and real-world lessons learned for USINDOPACOM and its subordinate battle staffs.
• US PACOM Analyst for the Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS). This requires training and working with appropriate headquarters staff members to document lessons learned, and ensuring inputs to JLLIS are structured and relevant.
• Attend USINDOPACOM battle rhythm events as required and represent J751 equities in these events.
• Required at times to deliver briefs regarding lessons learned.
• Assist with the filing of reports and maintenance of lessons-learned and exercise summary report databases using the various systems of record used by US PACOM.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelors and ten (10)+ years of related work experience; additional four (4) years of work experience considered in lieu of degree.
• Mid-level to Senior Officer experience.
• Must be able to absorb, refine and articulate policy, plans, procedures, actions, and milestones necessary for efficient conduct of the position.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) to support data synthesis, report writing, and presentation development.
• Knowledge of the Joint Training System.

Required Clearances

• Must have an active Secret clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
• Must be a current US Citizen.

Target salary range $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
