Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Joint Fires Network Engineer to support mission-critical defense communications and global network operations. This on-site role is in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, supporting 24x7 operations to keep secure network services available across transport and IP infrastructure.

The successful candidate will configure, monitor, and restore network services while collaborating with government stakeholders and engineering teams to ensure uninterrupted connectivity for

Qualifications

• 4+ years in network engineering or NOC environments.
• Experience with Cisco, Juniper, MPLS, SDH/SONET, optical transport, and routing/switching.
• Active TS/SCI clearance and DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Configure, monitor, and analyze circuits across routers, switches, and optical transport.
• Perform real-time circuit rerouting and restoration during outages.
• Collaborate with internal teams, government stakeholders, and engineering tiers to maximize network availability.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network alarms and resolve incidents end-to-end.
• Support change management activities including hardware replacements and software updates.
