Job summary

Rentokil Initial in Newcastle is seeking a Joiner Technician to deliver on domestic and commercial projects across the North East. You will perform first and second fix joinery, replace decayed joists and flooring, renew skirting boards, and conduct timber repairs while upholding high safety standards.

A full UK driving licence (2+ years, max 6 points) and on-site joinery experience are required; NVQ Level 2 in carpentry and joinery is preferred.

Qualifications

• On-site joinery experience is essential.
• DBS check may be required depending on role.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out first and second fix joinery on domestic and commercial sites.
• Replacing decayed joists and flooring; renewing skirting boards and timber repairs.
• Carrying out preservation works, floor and frame replacements, and window/door work.
• Assisting with damp proofing, wall coatings removal, and timber treatments.
• Ensuring adherence to health and safety, and leaving sites clean and tidy.
• Completing other tasks within the branch as required.
