Qualifications

• Experience coaching girls softball preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining levels of competition for the program.
• Organize and run practice schedules and individual development sessions.
• Monitor athletes academic progress with head coach.
• Assign positions based on skill assessments and team needs.
• Ensure supervision and safe conduct during all team activities.
• Support attendance at professional development clinics related to girls softball.

Job Summary

The JV Softball Coach will be responsible for helping build and maintaining the girls' softball program which will include, but not limited to:

• Assist in maintaining levels of competition
• Summer camps for current and prospective players
• Along with the head coach, monitor all athletes academic progress
• Assessing player's skills and assigning positions on the team
• Under direction of the head coach, help organize practice schedule
• Under direction of the head coach, help organize individual practices to provide individual and team development
• Follows team rules and goals that are shared with players and parents
• Follows established procedures in the event of an injury to an athlete
• Ensures all athletes are supervised at all times when involved with team activities
• Is a positive role model and maintains proper sportsmanship on the team at all times
• Helps, maintain an inventory of all equipment
• Attends professional development clinics/conferences specific to girls softball
