Responsibilities

• Follow procedures in the event of an athlete injury.
• Ensure supervision of athletes during team activities.
• Model sportsmanship and positive behavior at all times.
• Maintain equipment inventory.
• Attend professional development clinics/conferences specific to wrestling.

Job Summary:

The JJHS Head Wrestling Coach will be responsible for helping build and maintain the wrestling program which will include, but not limited to:

• Maintaining levels of competition
• Monitoringall athletes academic progress
• Following and enforcingestablished eligibility requirements of District 12
• Running individual practices to provide individual and team development
• Following team rules and goals that are shared with players and parents
• Following established procedures in the event of an injury to an athlete
• Ensuringall athletes are supervised at all times when involved with team activities
• Acting asa positive role model and maintains proper sportsmanship on the team at all times
• Maintainingan inventory of all equipment
• Attending professional development clinics/conferences specific to wrestling
