Job summary

Omni New Haven Hotel in downtown New Haven invites energetic individuals to join our team as a hotel services internship, offering paid internships and development programs. You will gain hands-on experience in a premium property near Yale, learning the standards of service and guest interaction.

As part of the internship, you'll receive exposure to fine dining service, beverage offerings, station setup, and polishing glassware while contributing to a welcoming guest experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in fine dining service preferred.
• Knowledge of menus and beverage offerings required.
• Ability to set up stations and perform side-work.
• Willingness to polish water glasses and maintain cleanliness.
• Provide courteous guest service and greet guests by surname when possible.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of fine dining service.
• Must be familiar with menus.
• Must know beverage offerings.
• Station set-up and breakdown/side-work.
• Polish and clean water glasses at assigned station before opening hours.
• Perform duties as assigned by the restaurant manager.
• Dollies' underliners ready.

• Be pleasant, smile and greet all guests, using surnames when obtained.
• Performs other duties as required by supervisor.

Essential Functions

• Knowledge of fine dining service.
• Must have full familiarity with menus.
• Must have full knowledge of beverage offerings.
• Station set-up and breakdown/side-work.
• To polish and clean the water glasses in his/her assigned station before opening hours.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the restaurant manager.
• To have dollies' underliners ready.
• Service to guests.
