Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and creative Landscape Lighting Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have an eye for design, a working knowledge of electrical systems, and hands-on experience with installing low-voltage outdoor lighting systems for homes and commercial properties. This role requires both artistic sensibility and technical precision.

Key Responsibilities

· Collaborate with clients, designers, and project managers to implement custom landscape lighting plans that enhance safety, functionality, and aesthetics.

· Install and connect low-voltage landscape lighting systems, transformers, timers, smart controllers, and fixtures.

· Conduct site assessments, measurements, and load calculations for lighting zones.

· Troubleshoot, test, and maintain lighting systems, including routine servicing or LED retrofitting.

· Ensure all installations comply with local codes and safety standards.

· Maintain accurate project documentation and communicate updates to the project team.

· Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe throughout each project.

Qualifications

· 2+ years of experience in landscape lighting installation and/or design.

· Familiarity with brands like FX Luminaire, Coastal Source, or similar.

· Understanding of low-voltage wiring, transformer loads, and lighting control systems.

· Ability to read and interpret landscape plans, blueprints, and electrical schematics.

· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Comfortable using power tools, trenching equipment, and multimeters.

· Basic knowledge of smart lighting and integration with home integration systems is a plus.

· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Preferred Skills

· Experience with Control4, Lutron, or other smart lighting ecosystems.

· Knowledge of outdoor lighting design principles (uplighting, path lighting, accent lighting).

· Creative mindset with a strong sense of spatial awareness and light placement.
