Work World in Salinas, CA is seeking a Retail Store Shift Lead to join our growing team. This part-time role focuses on daily store operations and delivering exceptional customer service, with responsibilities including opening/closing procedures and coordinating floor activities.

You’ll gain leadership experience, develop retail skills, and work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays, with compensation ranging from $18.00 to $21.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Prior sales, leadership, or supervisory experience is a plus.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Strong customer service, communication, and basic math skills.
• High attention to detail with the ability to maintain a professional appearance.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
• Valid driver's license required; bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with accurate information about store products and available services.
• Support customer inquiries and requests both in person and by phone.
• Handle daily store opening and closing procedures.
• Oversee and coordinate sales floor activities to ensure efficient operations.
• Welcome customers and deliver courteous, professional assistance.
• Keep the sales floor, stock areas, and displays clean and well-organized at all times.
• Process customer purchases accurately, including payments and receipt issuance.
• Monitor stock levels and replenish merchandise as necessary.
• Carry out additional responsibilities assigned by store management.
