Mauzy is seeking a Residential Drain Technician to join our Southern California team. You will address residential drain issues, perform cleaning, and educate homeowners on long-term maintenance, working to restore optimal drainage across homes.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in drain work, strong plumbing knowledge, and excellent customer service skills. This role offers competitive pay and robust benefits, with emphasis on quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience in residential drain work or service plumbing experience.
• ServiceTitan experience - strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of residential plumbing and drain systems.
• Excellent Customer Service & communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to residential drain backups, slow drains, and emergencies with speed and professionalism.
• Perform drain cleaning using cabling, jetting, and other methods to restore proper flow.
• Accurately diagnose root intrusions, collapsed lines, grease buildup, foreign obstructions, and other drain-related problems.
• Conduct sewer camera inspections to identify line condition, locate breaks, and verify proper drainage.
• Educate homeowners on drain system care, preventive maintenance, repair options, and long-term solutions.
• Present clear repair, cleaning, or replacement options and confidently close service calls with transparency and professionalism.
• Perform minor drain repairs, clean-outs, and component replacements as needed to restore system functionality.
• Communicate effectively with homeowners to ensure understanding, trust, and a positive service experience.

Pay Transparency:

The starting rate for this opportunity ranges from 50k-100k annually. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. Other rewards may include incentive plan opportunities and annual bonus eligibility. We provide a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
