R. Poust Heating & Cooling is seeking an Electrician (Residential Service Technician) to join our team in New Jersey. Earn an hourly base plus commission, with strong growth potential for high performers.

You will perform electrical installations, diagnostics, and repairs in residential settings, while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining safety standards. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of residential electrical experience, relevant certifications, and strong communication

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a residential electrician.
• Electrical certifications and state licensing preferred
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting techniques, and repair procedures
• Experience with Service Titan or similar trade software is a plus
• Ability to explain electrical issues and solutions clearly to customers
• Perform accurate, high-quality electrical work
• Dedicated to exceptional service and professionalism
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Electrical System Installation & Repairs – Install, maintain, and repair electrical control systems, wiring, lighting, and fixtures in residential homes
• Diagnostics & Troubleshooting – Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical issues, circuit breakers, transformers, and wiring systems
• Code Compliance – Ensure all electrical work meets national, state, and local regulations
• Customer Engagement – Inform customers about issues, solutions, and system performance, providing recommendations for products and services to improve efficiency and safety
• Technical Expertise – Read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints to execute precise and effective electrical work
• Service Documentation – Use Service Titan software to track completed work, ensuring accurate records and seamless service
• Safety & Quality Assurance – Follow all safety protocols and industry standards to ensure high-quality workmanship
