Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of residential electrical service experience.
• Journeyman Electrician license is a plus, but not required.
• Strong diagnostic and repair abilities.
• Knowledge of residential electrical systems, components, and codes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer-facing skills with homeowners.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential electrical systems and equipment.
• Install, replace, and upgrade residential electrical systems and equipment per codes.
• Communicate clearly with homeowners about issues and solutions.
• Recommend upgrades and safety improvements as appropriate.

Description

J&A Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electrical is a trusted provider of residential HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services throughout Western Pennsylvania. This is a second-shift position with a regular schedule of 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

General responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential electrical systems and equipment, including wiring, outlets, switches, lighting systems, circuit breakers, panels, and related components
• Install, replace, and upgrade residential electrical systems and equipment in accordance with national and local electrical codes
• Communicate clearly and honestly with homeowners regarding electrical issues, repair recommendations, and available solutions
• Recommend electrical upgrades, panel replacements, surge protection, generators, lighting enhancements, and additional services when appropriate to improve safety, functionality, and overall system performance
• Respond to service calls promptly and professionally
• Track electrical repairs, installations, and completed work within ServiceTitan
• Maintain compliance with company standards and applicable safety regulations
• Deliver exceptional customer service while building trust and rapport with homeowners
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3+ years of residential electrical service experience required
• Journeyman Electrician license is a plus, but not required
• Strong mechanical aptitude and proven diagnostic and repair abilities
• Knowledge of residential electrical systems, components, and applicable electrical codes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to build trust and establish rapport with homeowners
• Experience using ServiceTitan preferred
• Valid U.S. Driver's License with a clean driving record
