Job summary

J&A Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electrical is seeking an experienced Residential Electrician for a second-shift schedule (12:00 PM–9:00 PM) in the West Mifflin area. The role offers strong earning potential with uncapped commission and a range of benefits including a company vehicle and tools provided.

You will diagnose, repair, and upgrade residential electrical systems, adhere to electrical codes, and communicate clearly with homeowners.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of residential electrical service experience.
• Journeyman Electrician license is a plus, but not required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and proven diagnostic and repair abilities.
• Knowledge of residential electrical systems, components, and applicable electrical codes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to build trust and establish rapport with homeowners.
• Experience using ServiceTitan preferred.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential electrical systems and equipment, including wiring, outlets, switches, lighting systems, circuit breakers, panels, and related components.
• Install, replace, and upgrade residential electrical systems and equipment in accordance with national and local electrical codes.
• Communicate clearly and honestly with homeowners regarding electrical issues, repair recommendations, and available solutions.
• Recommend electrical upgrades, panel replacements, surge protection, generators, lighting enhancements, and additional services when appropriate to improve safety, functionality, and overall system performance.
• Respond to service calls promptly and professionally.
• Track electrical repairs, installations, and completed work within ServiceTitan.
• Maintain compliance with company standards and applicable safety regulations.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while building trust and rapport with homeowners.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
