Job summary

Work World, the leading retailer of workwear and boots in the Western United States, is hiring a full-time Assistant Retail Operations Manager in Reno, NV. Schedule includes nights and weekends with compensation of $22.00–$26.00 per hour DOE.

You will support store operations, training, and customer service across our 30+ stores. Responsibilities include supervising staff, assisting the Store Manager, opening/closing procedures, banking, receiving shipments, and helping customers locate

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of retail experience preferred.
• Previous assistant management or leadership experience is a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
• Valid driver's license required; bilingual skills are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Help supervise store staff and support employee training activities.
• Work alternating shifts with the Store Manager to support daily operations.
• Complete additional responsibilities as assigned by store leadership.
• Perform store opening and closing procedures.
• Prepare and manage daily bank deposits, including bank drop-offs.
• Receive, organize, and process incoming merchandise shipments.
• Welcome customers, answer incoming calls, and provide assistance as needed.
• Support customers in locating products and making purchasing decisions.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Help supervise store staff and support employee training activities

• Obtain change for store operations when needed
• Receive, organize, and process incoming merchandise shipments
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional store environment
• Process customer purchases accurately in accordance with company procedures
• Welcome customers, answer incoming calls, and provide assistance as needed
• Support customers in locating products and making purchasing decisions

What You’ll Need

• High school diploma or equivalent required
