Job summary

• Knowledge of vocational services, workforce development, or human services, preferably with individuals experiencing housing insecurity or complex needs.
• Proficiency in basic office software and documentation practices, with attention to detail and timely record-keeping.
• Ability to travel within the New York City Metropolitan Area for employer visits, participant meetings, and community outreach.
• Relevant education or training in social services, vocational rehabilitation, counseling, or a related field; comparable experience considered.

Role Description

The Job Developer of Vocational Services is a full-time, on-site role based in the New York City Metropolitan Area. This role focuses on identifying and cultivating employment opportunities, building relationships with employers, and matching participants to appropriate positions. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting vocational assessments, supporting job searches, preparing participants for interviews, and providing ongoing job coaching to promote retention and advancement. The Job Developer collaborates closely with case managers and community partners, facilitates job readiness workshops, and maintains accurate documentation and progress reports. This position requires consistent in-person engagement with participants and employers across the local area.
