Harbor is seeking a Job Developer to join our Bowling Green team! This position provides job development services to clients linked with funding sources, contacting employers and actively developing job opportunities for clients.
Position is full-time, 40 hours per week.
Education/Experience/Other Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business preferred, plus1 yearsales/marketing experience.In lieu ofBachelor’sdegree,maysubstituteAssociate’sdegree plus1 yearvocational rehabilitation experience (i.e., job development); or 3 years successful sales, marketing, or job recruitment experience.
- Proven success in sales and inestablishingbusiness to business relationships; familiarity with OODand BWC guidelines preferred.
- Must be proficient andaccuratein computer use, including Microsoft Word.
- CPR/First Aid Certificationrequired.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and show proof of personal auto insurance policy to bedeemedinsurable with Harbor’s vehicle insurance carrier.
- Must successfully complete a BCI/FBI background check(s) and six exclusionary database checks every 5 years, as required by OOD.
Essential Job Competencies/Primary Duties:
- Typesdocumentation in the formatappropriateand acceptable to Harbor.
- Responsible foraccurateandtimelydocumentation which includes, but is not limitedto:progress notes, Incident Report forms, Service Plans, and any other necessary documentation for job development services.
- MarketsHarbor services and ability to meet employer needs through proper job matches.
- Develops relationships with local employers to identify needs and assist in filling vacancies.
- Educate employers on providing responsible accommodationsin accordance withADA.
- Provides good employee/employer matches through job analysis and employee interest.
- Provides excellent customer service to funding and referral sources by being responsive to inquiriesregardingservices, client progress, etc.
- Provides job development, job seeking skills training, and follow along services.
- Assistsclients in developing a resume, completing job applications, interviews skills, and other activities related to obtaining employment.
- May provide job coaching services as applicable.
- Provides job contact information for employer data base and works collaboratively with job development team.
- In providing billable services, fulfills or exceeds unit expectationsestablishedby Harbor.
- As concerns driving responsibilities,maintainscurrent and valid driver’s license,a good drivingrecord, andcomplies withHarbor’s transportation policy and procedures.
- Keepscurrent withtrends and developments related to essential jobcompetencies, anddemonstrates continued growth.
- Carries andutilizesa cell phone for business related communication with clients,supervisor, and other staff.
- Provides coaching and mentoring assistance as needed for the purpose of maintaining and retaining employment.

Bachelors + 1 year Experience or better in Marketing.

Associates + 3 years Experience or better in Marketing.
