Level One Personnel, Inc. is seeking a Business Solutions Specialist to drive employer engagement and job development in the Gaithersburg area.

The role requires coordinating with businesses to identify openings, develop opportunities for candidates, and maintain relationships to ensure successful placements. Responsibilities include conducting client-employer matching, hosting events, and supporting job fairs, with a flexible schedule to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in: Business-to-business engagement, sales, staffing or workforce development.
• Strong verbal and written communication with a professional/collaborative approach.
• Experience with employer engagement, job placement, and workforce services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conducts searches for suitable job openings for clients by comparing client qualifications with employer requirements.
• Develops a wide variety of job opportunities for candidates.
• Establishes and maintains active contact with employers and knowledge of the local labor market.
• Assists employers in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring qualified applicants.
• Plays a role in organizing job fairs and employer events and coordinating with staff.

Pay: $21 - 23/hour

• Eligible for Health Benefit Coverage following 60 days of employment, vision and dental insurance after day 1

Hours: FT, 35/Week
Location: Gaithersburg, MD
Type: Contract-to-hire (W2)

Division: Workforce Services Division

The Business Services Specialist is responsible for employer engagement and job development.
Responsibilities:

• Conducts searches for suitable job openings for clients, comparing client qualifications with employer requirements.
• Develops a wide variety of job opportunities for candidates.
• Establishes and maintains active and frequent contact with employers.
• Develops and maintains detailed knowledge of the local labor market.
• Establishes rapport and maintains ongoing relationships with businesses.
• Works with businesses to identify job openings, alternative work activities, and training initiatives.
• Assists employers in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring qualified applicants.
• Maintains a current listing of local job opportunities.
• Keeps project staff apprised of local business needs and job placement opportunities.
• Works with staff to facilitate job placements.
• Enlists community and business leaders to increase awareness of available workforce services.
• Maintains follow-up with employers to determine satisfaction with services and plan for quality improvement.
• Arranges for employers to speak to candidates about employment and employer expectations.
• Sets up job fairs and employer hiring events.
• Flexible to occasionally work outside of normal business hours for events and/or to meet deadlines.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to pass a drug and background check
• Valid Drivers License and proof of current automobile insurance required
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university OR equivalent experience in: Business-to-business engagement; Sales; Staffing, recruiting, or job placement; Workforce development or employment services.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional and collaborative approach.
• Strong presentation skills with public speaking or outside sales experience.
• Familiarity with the communities being served, with knowledge and understanding of local needs and resources.
• Experience working with diverse populations and familiarity with local labor markets and community resources.
• Proven customer service skills and the ability to maintain employer relationships.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and workforce-related software systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual
• Sales or Staffing experience preferred.
