Job summary

Dutton Farm Inc. in Michigan is seeking a Job Coach to support adults with disabilities at their job sites. You will work one-on-one with participants, help them build skills, stay engaged, and reinforce positive work habits while ensuring safety and documentation.

You will partner with employers and the Dutton Farm team to drive progress toward employment goals, provide emotional support, and deliver hands-on coaching during afternoon shifts (4 afternoons per week, 12 PM–2:30 PM).

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.
• High school diploma required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Work directly alongside participants at their job sites, providing real-time support and guidance.
• Deliver hands-on, one-on-one coaching to help participants complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Provide appropriate emotional support, helping participants navigate challenges and stay engaged throughout their workday.
• Use positive redirection techniques to guide participants back to tasks and reinforce expectations when needed.
• Build and reinforce strong work habits, accountability, and professional behavior in the workplace.
• Communicate clearly and consistently with employers, supervisors, and the Dutton Farm team to ensure success.
• Identify challenges quickly and take initiative to implement practical, solution-focused strategies.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in alignment with Dutton Farm standards.
• Uphold safety expectations and address any concerns right away.
• Track progress toward employment goals and celebrate measurable achievements along the way.
