Job summary

Gensler in New York is seeking a mid-level Job Captain for Critical Facilities to translate design intent into precise construction documents. You will partner with Project Architect to produce technical drawings and coordinate with consultants to meet project objectives.

The role requires 5–8 years post-graduate experience, a Bachelor's in Architecture, and proficiency with Revit, Rhino, SketchUp and Adobe Suite. The base salary ranges from $82k to $95k, plus bonuses, ESOP, and profit sharing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
  • 5-8 years of post-graduation experience.
  • Experience with Critical Facilities (data centers, command and control centers, high-performance computing) or similar complex projects.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop).
  • Proficient in Revit, Rhino, SketchUp and other 3D modeling software.
  • LEED accreditation preferred.

  • Participate in construction administration, evaluate bids, conduct site visits, address technical issues, and maintain quality control during construction

  • Utilize hand and 3D software renderings to communicate design concepts

What You Will Do

Your Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited program
  • 5-8 years of post-graduation experience
  • Experience with Critical Facilities (i.e. data centers, command and control centers, high-performance computing, etc.) or similarly complex projects required
  • Knowledge of building codes, zoning, jurisdictional processes, building materials, specifications, and construction techniques
  • Experience in construction document preparation and field observation
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Proficient in Revit, Rhino, SketchUp and other 3D modeling software
  • LEED accreditation preferred

*The base salary range will be estimated between $82-95k. Gensler's total compensation package is multi-layered and includes a base salary, two annual bonuses paid in December and June, an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), and profit sharing.
