We are seeking a Job Captain with a minimum of seven years of experience at architecture or commercial interior design firms. At Blitz, Job Captains are designers with stellar technical skills and dogged persistence. They play a critical role in providing technical translation of the project design and are responsible for delivering effective and rigorous documentation under the supervision of the Lead Designer. Job Captains develop and coordinate architectural drawings with a focus on constructability, code compliance, coordination with external partners, and adherence to Blitz delivery standards.

About The Opportunity

Our studio is highly collaborative, and every team member contributes to project design, delivery, and client care. The ideal candidate is a talented technical designer, highly organized, with extensive experience in interiors and/or workplace design.

Experience & Qualifications

• 7+ years professional experience.
• Accredited degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or Graphic Design.
• LEED and/or WELL Accreditation is a plus.
• Professional Certification is a plus.
• REVIT proficiency is required.
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Excellent 3D rendering skills; Enscape skills are a plus.
• Experience in commercial interiors, including core/shell, hospitality, and retail sectors.

Technical Skills

• Strong technical and design skills.
• Knowledge of California Building Code and/or local codes.
• Experience with materials research, selection, and construction documentation.
• Ability to review construction for conformance with design intent.
• Experience coordinating with public agencies for planning and building approvals.

Soft Skills

• Demonstrated tenacity.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Effective coordination with clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Upholds high standards of professionalism and project delivery.

Basic Requirements

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and residency in the U.S.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
