Job summary

Development One is seeking a Job Captain to join our design studio in Downtown Fullerton, CA. You will work closely with architects and project managers on diverse project types, from offices to courthouses and data centers, contributing to concept design, construction documents, and administration.

You should have a professional architecture degree and 3+ years of experience, with hands-on proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.

Qualifications

• Architecture or related degree – required.
• 3+ years of experience in the architecture industry – required.
• Working experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam in a professional production environment – required.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite – a plus.
• Rendering skills including experience with SketchUp or similar software – a plus.
• Proven experience in institutional or government architectural field – a plus.
• Competent in conventional aspects of an architectural practice including design, planning, occupancy studies and data analysis.

For over 30 Years, Development One has been providing quality design services to a list of clients including NASA, Space Force, GSA, FedEX, Qantas and others. As a Job Captain at Development One, you will participate in a wide range of project activities in support of our architects and project managers. You will gain experience with a wide variety of project types — including office, courthouse, aviation, aerospace, laboratory, and data center facilities. You will contribute to conceptual designs, create presentation materials, generate construction documents, and assist with construction administration.

• 30 Days
• 90 Days
• 6 – 9 Months

These goals and benchmarks will be strategically drafted to give you a clear path to success at Development One, Inc.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, EDUCATION:

• Architecture or related degree – required
• 3+ years of experience in the architecture industry– required
• Working experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam in a professional production environment– required
• Familiarity with adobe creative suite – a plus
• Rendering skills including experience with Sketchup or similar software– a plus
• Proven experience in institutional or government architectural field – a plus
• Competent in conventional aspects of an architectural practice. Independently performs a variety of assignments requiring skills in architectural design for projects of moderate size and complexity. Performs analyses of design, planning, occupancy studies, and design layouts. Understands project specifications, and can compile and analyze relevant data. Reviews completed reports, consultant plans, and estimates.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

This role offers a base salary in the range of $75,000–$95,000 annually, depending on experience.
