Job summary

Development One in Downtown Fullerton is seeking a Job Captain to join our design studio and contribute to diverse project types from office to government facilities. You will help with conceptual design, presentations, and construction documents, supporting architects and managers.

The role offers a base salary in the $75,000–$95,000 range, paid holidays, health insurance, annual bonus, licensure support, and professional development opportunities in a collaborative, team-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Architecture or related degree is required.
• Minimum 3+ years in the architecture industry.
• Professional production environment experience using Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam is required.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
• Rendering with SketchUp or similar software is a plus.
• Experience in institutional or government architectural projects is a plus.
• Independent in task execution with ability to handle moderate complexity projects.

For over 30 Years, Development One has been providing quality design services to a list of clients including NASA, Space Force, GSA, FedEX, Qantas and others. As a Job Captain at Development One, you will participate in a wide range of project activities in support of our architects and project managers. You will gain experience with a wide variety of project types — including office, courthouse, aviation, aerospace, laboratory, and data center facilities. You will contribute to conceptual designs, create presentation materials, generate construction documents, and assist with construction administration.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, EDUCATION:

• Architecture or related degree – required
• 3+ years of experience in the architecture industry– required
• Working experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam in a professional production environment – required
• Familiarity with adobe creative suite – a plus
• Rendering skills including experience with Sketchup or similar software– a plus
• Proven experience in institutional or government architectural field – a plus
• Competent in conventional aspects of an architectural practice. Independently performs a variety of assignments requiring skills in architectural design for projects of moderate size and complexity. Performs analyses of design, planning, occupancy studies, and design layouts. Understands project specifications, and can compile and analyze relevant data. Reviews completed reports, consultant plans, and estimates.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

This role offers a base salary in the range of $75,000–$95,000 annually, depending on experience.
