Job summary

Magna International in Clinton, Tennessee, is seeking a Planner/Scheduler to manage production and inventory control for JIT manufacturing. You will translate weekly demand into a master schedule and coordinate with manufacturing, engineering and direct reports to ensure timely completion.

The role requires experience in production scheduling, inventory management and strong data-driven decision making, with a readiness for occasional evenings and weekend shifts when required.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years with a degree or 5-8 years without a degree of supervisory experience in production planning.
• Experience in production scheduling and inventory control in a manufacturing setting, preferably automotive.
• Flexibility to work evenings/weekends when customer requirements warrant.

Responsibilities

• Manage activities of Production and Inventory Control to support JIT manufacturing and 100% on-time delivery.
• Schedule production operations for maximum efficiency and coordinate with manufacturing and engineering for trial builds.
• Control all inventory levels to assure JIT supply and coordinate with direct reports to ensure timely completion.
• Translate weekly demand into master schedule and align with customer volume fluctuations.
