Job summary

CGS is hiring a Jira Lead Administrator to drive Atlassian strategy in the federal IT space. Lead configuration, JIRA/Confluence setup, and CI/CD integration across projects. Strong liaison with stakeholders and policy-aware planning are essential.

The role requires deep Jira/Confluence/Bamboo/Bitbucket know-how, Agile/delivery expertise, and readiness for security clearance within the DHS ecosystem. We offer growth and comprehensive benefits in a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 7 years’ experience in systems analysis and design of information systems programs.
• 3 years’ experience with Jira and Confluence administration.
• 3+ years’ experience with Bamboo and Bitbucket.
• Advanced degree in an appropriate field with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of Agile and applied best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communications.
• Must obtain Government Security Clearance (moderate risk public trust).
• Atlassian Jira Administrator certification preferred.
• Experience with Networking, DNS, Databases, APIs, SAML, and Akamai.
• Federal agency consulting experience, especially within DHS.
• Ability to write custom JQL.
• Experience with SELC and SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Create custom projects in Atlassian tool suite for complex workflows to meet business needs.
• Provide advanced configuration of the Atlassian suite of tools to promote CI/CD.
• Create and maintain Jira and Confluence collaboration sites (e.g., Kanban boards, Scrum boards, documentation pages).
• Analyze, research, manage, and implement integrated Atlassian tools, plugins, and applications.
• Interface with diverse stakeholders as a liaison and trusted advisor.
• Help define how information systems may be upgraded or replaced.
• Gather requirements for business processes, and determine ways to optimize.
