Job summary

Contact Government Services (CGS) seeks a Jira Lead Administrator to drive transformation in federal IT. The role focuses on configuring Atlassian tools, building advanced Jira/Confluence ecosystems, and delivering optimized workflows for DHS-related projects.

The ideal candidate combines Jira/Confluence mastery with strong communication, stakeholder liaison skills, and security clearances to support government missions.

Qualifications

• 7 years’ experience in systems analysis and design of information systems programs.
• 3 years’ experience with Jira and Confluence administration.
• 3+ years’ experience of Bamboo and Bitbucket.
• Advanced degree with three additional years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of Agile and applied best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Background investigation and government security clearance required.
• Atlassian Jira Administrator certification preferred.
• Knowledge of Networking, DNS, Databases, APIs, SAML, and Akamai.
• Federal consulting experience, especially DHS.

Responsibilities

• Create custom projects in Atlassian tool suite for complex workflows to meet business needs.
• Provide advanced configuration of the Atlassian suite to promote CI/CD.
• Create and maintain Jira and Confluence collaboration sites (Kanban/Scrum boards, docs).
• Analyze, research, manage, and implement integrated Atlassian tools and plugins.
• Interface with diverse stakeholders as a liaison and trusted advisor.
• Help define how information systems may be upgraded or replaced.
• Gather requirements for business processes and optimize them.
