The Patient Service Coordinator will handle all administrative (non-clinical) aspects of the patient encounter, assisting each and every patient to achieve the Ideal Patient Encounter, and maintaining accurate information on each patient to facilitate the encounter. Offers friendly, courteous assistance to every patient to ensure that the patient has a positive, professional experience while at the Johns Hopkins Station Surgery Center Series. Since most administrative tasks will be expedited with the use of automated scheduling, registration and billing systems, the patient coordinator will need to be proficient on the appropriate computer systems. The JHSCS Patient Service Coordinator is expected to assist with clerical duties throughout the JHSCS to aid in the flow of the JHSCS daily
PROBLEM SOLVING: Independently evaluates individual patient or patient flow situations and be able to implement the appropriate actions/steps in a timely fashion.
INFORMATION MANAGEMENT: Read and understand requisitions, referral forms, insurance forms and other forms.
Salary Range: Minimum $18.87/hour - Maximum $31.15/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
