Responsibilities

• Renders health care services to patients as an advanced practice nurse.
• Obtains health histories, performs exams, develops diagnoses, and creates treatment plans.
• Prescribes medications, orders and interprets lab and imaging tests.
• Obtains and prepares specimens for laboratory testing.
• Performs injections, immunizations, sutures, and biopsies as trained.
• Provides patient counseling and education.
• Discusses resources with patients and referrals when appropriate.
• Arranges for advanced diagnostics or treatments as needed.
• Provides emergency care within scope of practice.
• Manages medications and dispenses within scope.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and completes required training.
• Shift coverage and collaboration with the care team.
