JMC Jefferson Medical Center in West Virginia is seeking a PRN PACU RN to provide high-quality post-anesthesia care in an inpatient setting. The role requires sporadic shifts and accountability for implementing the nursing process under nurse supervision.

The ideal candidate will have an active RN license in WV or eNLC, BLS certification, and at least 1 year of nursing experience, with strong communication and critical thinking skills to adapt to variable workloads.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care for inpatients using the nursing process and evidence-based practice.
  • Assess patient data to individualize plans of care and prioritize needs.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately within scope of practice.
  • Coordinate with interprofessional team to ensure quality patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families about care plans and treatments.
  • Maintain patient safety and compliance with policies and standards.

The Registered Nurse also must possess the ability to assess and interpret patient data needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs. This role provides professional nursing care for patients in an inpatient hospital setting.**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:****EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:**1. Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which services will be provided or current multi-state Registered Nurse license through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).2. Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.**EXPERIENCE:**1.
