Job summary

LOFT is a family-owned Part 142 training center based in Carlsbad, CA, delivering Citation-series training via full-motion flight simulators. The Simulator Instructor role offers both full-time W2 and 1099 contractor avenues to provide professional flight instruction encompassing theory and hands-on practice.

Responsibilities include conducting simulator sessions, assessing pilot performance for compliance with aviation standards, maintaining training records, and staying current with industry

Qualifications

• FAA ATP certificate required.
• Strong knowledge of Aircraft Systems and functionalities.
• Experience operating jet aircraft with GA, military, or airline background.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for instruction.
• FAA or other instructor certification and prior flight instruction preferred.
• Ability to adapt to individual learning styles and assess trainee progress.
• Knowledge of safety management systems and aviation regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional flight instruction to clients, including both theoretical and practical training.
• Conduct simulator sessions and assess pilot performance for regulatory compliance.
