Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking a Technician for the Stennis Space Center to join a around-the-clock team. You will be testing jet engines, troubleshooting faults, performing calibrations, and carrying out preventative maintenance on test facilities.

The role requires a safety-first mindset, the ability to handle heavy components, and a willingness to learn. This onsite, 3rd shift position includes a 10% shift premium and relocation assistance is not offered.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
• Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics interest or background.
• Willingness to learn technical elements of the role.
• Ability to troubleshoot a wide variety of systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Work with a safety mindset, always putting safety first.
• Receive engines from other sites, and prepare them ready for test.
• Install the engine package onto the outdoor test stand.
• Operate the engine, following a precise test schedule.
• Respond to engine and facility issues with efficient troubleshooting.
• Assist the facility engineering team with projects and tasks.
• Carry out facility PM activity, fault finding and improvement activities.
• Effective communication to fellow team members at shift handovers.
