Job summary

RTX (Raytheon) Pratt & Whitney's PSCV group in Middletown, CT seeks a Test Engineer to support experimental jet engine assembly and testing activities. The role requires depth in assembly, instrumentation, and testing techniques, and a willingness to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional team.

You will ensure readiness, coordinate test and teardown, and help meet validation requirements on time and budget. Some travel and off-shift coverage are expected as part of a 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• 2 years of engineering experience or an Advanced degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
• U.S. Citizen - The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Responsibilities

• Support experimental jet engine assembly and test activities.
• The Test Engineer must possess a sufficient depth and knowledge to support validation programs, such as assembly, instrumentation, and testing techniques.
• Ensure assembly operations readiness and flawless execution of test vehicle builds, tests, teardowns, and inspections.
• Interface with cross functional teams to ensure test and validation requirements are met on time and within budget.
• Provide technical direction, troubleshooting, and daily coordination in executing build and teardown requirements.
