Job summary

University of Detroit Jesuit High School and Academy is seeking a dynamic, long‑term Principal to lead academic and co‑curricular programs, ensuring the school’s Jesuit mission is implemented and aligned with Catholic and Ignatian values. The Principal will oversee administration, staff, and student programs while sustaining a culture of excellence.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in educational leadership, educational administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of five years of relevant professional experience (certified teaching experience preferred).
• Have appropriate administrative credentials (or be working toward those credentials).
• Experience with computers and navigating academic software platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide educational leadership in Jesuit and Catholic tradition and support mission fidelity.
• Oversee curriculum planning and academic program alignment with school goals.
• Hire and supervise faculty and staff who share the school's mission and values.
• Develop and implement school policies, calendars, and communications.
• Collaborate with leadership to manage student support, discipline, and community engagement.
