Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking a Trade Compliance Manager for Jurisdiction and Classification to lead the JC program within its Aerospace and Defense group. This role collaborates with engineers and JC classifiers to confirm item classifications and serves as the primary contact for JC determinations.

The position trains JC teams, supports product development, drafts CJ/CCATS with CITC, and implements JC processes and policies across business units, with travel up to 20% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university required.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in engineering and regulatory analysis.
• Experience in U.S. export regulations ITAR, EAR, OFAC; knowledge of UK/EU/UAE/Norwegian export control laws preferred.
• Experience with SAP, GTS and OCR.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret governmental regulations; write reports and present to leaders.
• Willingness to travel approximately 20% as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform second level reviews to confirm JC Focal classification determinations of items.
• Collaborate with engineering, product development, and project management on classification issues.
• Bridge technical product development with regulatory aspects of the role.
• Supervise and support JC Focal teams in aerospace and defense.
• Provide strategic guidance on designing and classifying items for markets.
• Monitor regulations and lead license updates with related teams.
• Develop and train JC processes and tools for classifying hardware and information.
• Maintain JC policies and procedures.
• Prepare CITC reviews for Commodity Jurisdiction determinations.
• Assist with investigations and disclosures of trade compliance incidents.
• Conduct audits and implement corrective actions.
• Provide periodic JC data reporting to stakeholders and CITC.
