Job summary

Kikiktagruk Inupiat Corporation, LLC is seeking a Construction Superintendent (Federal) to lead field operations at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Tacoma, WA. The Superintendent will coordinate daily field activities from mobilization through closeout, ensuring safety, on-schedule delivery, and compliance with contract requirements and quality standards.

Reporting to the Project Manager, the role requires 5+ years of federal/military construction leadership, OSHA 30-hour certification, and strong

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; construction management degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years as a construction superintendent or similar leadership on federal projects.
• Experience with vertical construction, renovation, or design-build; USACE/NAVFAC experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, contracts, and project schedules.
• Familiarity with OSHA, EM 385-1-1, and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily construction activities.
• Lead subcontractors, vendors, and deliveries to maintain schedule.
• Develop and maintain project schedule with PM and QC Manager.
• Monitor progress and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure quality and safety.
• Maintain daily reports on manpower, equipment, and activities.
• Enforce safety policies and environmental requirements.
