Java Technical Lead (Remote)

Cognizant is seeking a motivated and energetic Java Technical Lead skilled in front-end technologies, Java 17, REST API development, and backend logic (batch jobs/Kafka processors) using Spring Boot.

Job Location: San Francisco, CA or Remote

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

1. Prepare high-level and low-level design documents for web applications.
2. Support QA and UAT phases, resolving defects as needed.
3. Review work delivered by onshore and offshore teams.
4. Take responsibility for end-to-end project delivery.
5. Participate in stakeholder meetings, requirement grooming, design walkthroughs, and code reviews.
6. Design and develop web applications.
7. Apply a strong understanding of development concepts and SDLC methodologies.
8. Develop APIs and batch processes with hands-on experience.
9. Deep knowledge of Spring Framework (Spring IoC, JDBC, Spring Boot microservices, Spring Batch).
10. Knowledge of Apache Camel framework.
11. Understanding of CI/CD principles.
12. Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills.

Key Qualifications:

1. Minimum 9+ years of experience as a Spring Boot Java microservices developer.
2. Experience with JDBC, Spring MVC, J2EE, Core Java, REST Web Services, REST APIs, SOAP, Angular (13-16), and secure coding practices.
