Job summary

Apptad Inc. is seeking a Java Technical Lead for in-house projects. Location is Hybrid across Strongsville, OH and other U.S. cities with onsite presence 3 days a week. You will drive architecture, hands-on development, and team mentorship to deliver scalable back-end systems.

Responsibilities include defining microservice architecture, building RESTful APIs, and coordinating releases with stakeholders. Strong Java, Spring, and messaging experience are required for this critical leadership role.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in Java (11/17/21+).
• Extensive Spring ecosystem experience (Boot/Cloud/MVC).
• Strong SQL, messaging (Kafka/RabbitMQ), ETL familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Define system architecture and design microservices for scalability and performance.
• Write complex code and develop/maintain RESTful APIs.
• Lead and mentor engineers; enforce best practices (TDD/BDD).
• Coordinate with product and business teams to plan releases and remove blockers.

• Core Languages: Deep expertise in Java (often Java 11/17/21+ depending on the organization).
• Frameworks: Extensive experience with the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring MVC) and Hibernate.
• Databases & Integration: Strong knowledge of SQL, messaging systems (e.g., Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ), and ETL workflows.
• Methodologies: Proficiency in Agile/Scrum, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployment platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Roles & Responsibilities
