Job summary

VOLTO Consulting is seeking a Java Technical Lead in the United States (Pittsburgh, PA; Dallas, TX; Strongsville, OH; Phoenix, AZ). This full-time role requires 7–15 years of experience and independent visa holders.

You will architect and guide backend systems, lead development of RESTful APIs, and mentor engineers. Deep Java expertise, Spring ecosystem (Boot/Cloud/MVC), Hibernate, SQL, Kafka/RabbitMQ, and cloud deployment on AWS/Azure/GCP are essential.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in Java (11/17/21+).
• Spring ecosystem experience: Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring MVC; Hibernate.
• Strong SQL, and messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ); ETL workflows.
• Proficient in Agile/Scrum, CI/CD, and cloud deployment (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Responsibilities

• Define system architecture, design microservices, ensure scalability and performance.
• Write complex code, build PoCs, and develop/maintain RESTful APIs.
• Guide engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote TDD/BDD practices.
• Collaborate with product/business teams to plan releases and remove blockers.

• Frameworks: Extensive experience with the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring MVC) and Hibernate.
• Databases & Integration: Strong knowledge of SQL, messaging systems (e.g., Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ), and ETL workflows.
• Methodologies: Proficiency in Agile/Scrum, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployment platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Roles & Responsibilities
