Java Technical Lead (On-site)

Our practice is seeking a highly qualified Java Developer with experience in developing and building impactful, scalable, enterprise applications. Hartford, Connecticut

Legal Authorization:

Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities:

1. Identify opportunities for automation and optimization in the Production Environment for the Group Benefits domain.
2. Design, implement, and automate CI/CD pipelines.
3. Develop strategies for Application Performance Monitoring, Resiliency, and Chaos Engineering.
4. Create observability dashboards for monitoring and alerts.
5. Conduct fault injection experiments to detect hidden bugs and monitor application and infrastructure blind spots.
6. Perform root cause analysis and incident management, collaborating with development teams for code fixes and testing.
7. Evaluate production issues to reduce MTTR.
8. Participate in system design, capacity planning, and use case reviews.

Qualifications:

1. Hands-on experience building microservices with Java 17, Spring Framework (Spring Boot 3, Web Flux, Data or JDBC).
2. 8+ years of application software development experience.
3. Experience with automation and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible.
4. Experience with OpenTelemetry and observability tools like Splunk and Dynatrace.
5. Practical knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS, ECS, Lambda, SQS, and FIS.

Compensation:

Applications accepted until May 9, 2025. Salary ranges from $70K to $117,000 based on experience and qualifications.
