Job summary

NationsBenefits is seeking a Technical Lead (Platform) in Plantation, FL to lead a high-performing engineering team building scalable fintech applications. You will own the technical roadmap, mentor engineers, and drive DevOps practices across microservices deployed on cloud platforms.

You will guide architecture, ensure security and compliance, and translate business needs into robust technical solutions while delivering high-throughput, low-latency systems.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering teams and delivering fintech platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Java tech stack and microservices.
• Proven ability to design scalable architectures and mentor engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers.
• Recruit, onboard, and train engineering talent to best practices.
• Conduct performance reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Foster an Agile and DevOps culture with ownership and collaboration.
• Define and execute the technical strategy and architecture for scalable fintech applications.
• Ensure SDLC adheres to industry standards and compliance guidelines.
• Lead design, development, and deployment of Java-based microservices using Spring Boot, Hibernate, and RESTful APIs.
• Architect, build, and maintain microservices-based systems on cloud platforms; use Docker and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with Product and Business teams to translate requirements into robust solutions.
• Improve performance, reliability, and security through monitoring and optimization.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and data security standards.
• Design and manage SQL/NoSQL databases and real-time data processing (e.g., Kafka/Hadoop).
