Machine Learning Technologies, LLC seeks a hands-on Java + SRE Engineer in Charlotte, NC. You will leverage strong Java/J2EE fundamentals and Spring Boot to build and maintain enterprise apps, provide production support, and drive reliability through observability and automation.

The role emphasizes RCA, incident management, and working with CI/CD pipelines in Kubernetes/OpenShift environments, with exposure to Generative AI tools for code understanding, debugging, and automation.

Qualifications

Hands-on Java/J2EE development in production environments.
Proficient with Spring Boot, REST APIs and microservices architectures.
Experience debugging production Java applications and diagnosing performance issues.
Understanding of observability platforms and incident response processes.
Familiarity with AI-assisted software engineering tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, troubleshoot, and support enterprise applications using Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices.
Provide SRE and production engineering support for business-critical applications and services.
Troubleshoot complex production issues across application, API, infrastructure, database, and network layers.
Perform RCA and drive corrective actions for recurring incidents.
Support Incident, Problem, and Change Management; align with SLA/SLOs.
Monitor health using Splunk, Elasticsearch/Kibana, or similar observability tools.
Create dashboards, alerts, and health monitoring; optimize log queries by search and analysis.
Support deployments on Kubernetes/OpenShift and enterprise Linux environments.
Work with CI/CD pipelines and production release processes.
