Job summary

Berkley Technology Services (BTS), a member company of W. R. Berkley Corporation, is seeking a Software Development Intern for June 2027. You will contribute to a Java-based policy administration platform with exposure to front-end and back-end technologies.

You’ll engage in the full software development cycle, from requirements and design through testing, deployment, and support, in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of college coursework in Computer Science or MIS with programming focus.
• Experience with object-oriented programming languages, especially Java; other OO languages acceptable.
• Some SQL query experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support and execute product enhancements for the underwriting platform.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment.
• Gain exposure to Java, Spring, JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML/CSS, RESTful and SOAP APIs.
