Job summary

Garmin International in the Greater Kansas City area is seeking a full-time Java Software Engineer to design, develop, and enhance enterprise applications within a structured SDLC. You will work on Oracle EBS and Oracle R12 integration, using Java, PL/SQL, Forms, Reports, BI Publisher, and Workflow to deliver robust software solutions.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/MIS or related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience and demonstrate secure coding practices,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, or related field + 2 years relevant experience
• Experience designing, enhancing and developing single and multi-system applications
• Proficiency in secure coding practices
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with Java, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Reports, BI Publisher, and Oracle Workflow in development

Responsibilities

• Design, enhance, and develop enterprise applications as part of a structured SDLC
• Maintain, improve, and extend existing software with limited assistance
• Collaborate in a team environment to determine approaches and solutions
• Develop/validate unit and system tests with IT Analysts
• Mentor less experienced engineers and document work thoroughly
• Integrate with Oracle ERP tools like EBS and R12 in enterprise software
