Job summary

Infosys Limited - The Infosys Digital Experience unit seeks a Technology Consultant 2 to design and develop applications across the SDLC. You will document requirements, guide design discussions, and contribute to coding and integration, with emphasis on stability and quality.

The role involves creating user training and documenting support frameworks while collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will work with Spring Boot, Java 8, Microservices, ReactJs, REST APIs, and SQL databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required; will consider 3 years of progressive experience in lieu of education.
• Experience in app development using Spring Boot, Java 8, API, Microservices, ReactJs, REST APIs and SQL DB.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Ability to translate complex requirements into actionable development tasks.

Responsibilities

In the assigned Job Role of Technology Consultant 2, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below:

• Contribute to the requirements elicitation process by documenting assigned parts of business requirements, in line with guidance provided
• Facilitate software application design discussions, and document design decisions to guide the technical team towards building software solutions
• Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications, with a focus on maintaining system stability
• Conduct code reviews, do changes to the codebase and maintain code repositories
• Implement test strategies, analyse results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold the software quality standards
• Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to ensure a smooth transition to new software applications
• Actively participate in resolving production issues and recommend preventive strategies to enhance system reliability
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base and assist other similar projects

Required Skill and Experience

experience with App development using Spring Boot, Java 8, API, Microservices, Vertx, Oracle / SQL DB, Core Java dealing with Concurrency

Preferred Skill and Experience

• experience in Design and architecture review.
• experience in software development life cycle with good experience in Agile Development Model.
• Deep knowledge of Web development practices and commonly used modules based on extensive work experience
• Hands on Experience in Spring Boot, Java 8, Microservices, ReactJs, REST API’s, Core Java dealing with Concurrency, SQL DB, Vertx, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap
• Knowledge in Design Patterns.
• Creating self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components
• Ensuring a clear dependency chain, regarding the app logic as well as the file system
• Creating custom, general use modules and components which extend the elements and modules
• Ability to work in team environment and client interfacing skills.
• Analytical skills
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.

Additional Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

Estimated annual compensation range for candidates in the below locations will be: Jersey City, NJ: $82,419 to $126,600
