Job summary

Infosys Limited in New York is seeking a Technology Consultant 2 to drive SDLC activities across front-end and back-end tech stacks. You will contribute to requirements, design, and coding while ensuring stability, quality, and collaborative delivery.

Ideal candidates have strong Java, Spring, React experience, and familiarity with Camunda and PostgreSQL; relocation/travel may be required; US work authorization is needed.

Qualifications

• Strong Full Stack development experience with Java concepts, Spring, and React.
• Experience in Microservices, REST API design and inter-service communication.
• Experience in Java/J2EE & Spring: Spring Boot, Spring MVC; Struts for legacy migrations.
• Experience in Camunda and PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to requirements elicitation and document business requirements.
• Facilitate software design discussions and document decisions for the technical team.
• Participate in coding and integrate features while maintaining stability.
• Conduct code reviews and maintain code repositories.
• Implement test strategies, analyze results, and coordinate bug fixes.

In the assigned Job Role of Technology Consultant 2, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below:

• Contribute to the requirements elicitation process by documenting assigned parts of business requirements, in line with guidance provided
• Facilitate software application design discussions, and document design decisions to guide the technical team towards building software solutions
• Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications, with a focus on maintaining system stability
• Conduct code reviews, do changes to the codebase and maintain code repositories
• Implement test strategies, analyse results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold the software quality standards
• Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to ensure a smooth transition to new software applications
• Actively participate in resolving production issues and recommend preventive strategies to enhance system reliability
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base and assist other similar projects

Required Skill and Experience

• Strong Full Stack development experience with: Java concepts- OOP, collections, streams, concurrency, exception handling.
• Experience in Microservices: REST API design, inter-service communication, resilience patterns, pagination, error handling.
• Experience in Java/J2EE & Spring: Spring Boot, Spring MVC; Struts experience acceptable/valued for legacy migrations.
• Experience in React, PostgreSQL, Camunda

Preferred Skill and Experience

• Experience working in agile development environments and modern DevOps practices.
• Hands‑on experience with AI‑powered development tools such as: GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Codex, AMP Or similar AI‑assisted coding platforms

Additional Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
