Job summary

Infosys is hiring a Technology Consultant 2 in Hartford, CT to contribute to digital transformation for financial services. You will design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Node.js, while aligning with SDLC practices and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role covers design discussions, coding, testing, and production issue resolution, with opportunities to work on AI-enabled, cloud-driven projects across banking, wealth management, and insurance

Qualifications

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java 11/17+, Spring Boot, and Spring Reactive (WebFlux).
• Develop server-side applications using Node.js and Express.js frameworks.
• Implement reactive and asynchronous programming patterns for high-throughput applications.
• This position may require relocation and/or travel to work/project location.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to requirements elicitation by documenting assigned parts of business requirements.
• Facilitate software design discussions, and document design decisions to guide the technical team.
• Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications, with a focus on maintaining system stability.
• Conduct code reviews, do changes to the codebase and maintain code repositories.
• Implement test strategies, analyse results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold software quality.
• Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to ensure a smooth transition to new software applications.
• Actively participate in resolving production issues and recommend preventive strategies to enhance system reliability.
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich knowledge base.

In the assigned Job Role of Technology Consultant 2, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below:

Required Skill And Experience

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java 11/17+, Spring Boot, and Spring Reactive (WebFlux).

Preferred Skill And Experience

• Develop event-driven architectures using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging technologies.
• SQL: Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices-based solutions.

Additional Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
