Job summary

Moody’s is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Asset Management technology team. You will design, develop, and optimize scalable micro-services in Java, working on enterprise-scale finance applications and cloud migrations.

You will collaborate across global teams, contribute to documentation, and participate in modern AI-assisted development workflows. The role emphasizes independence, strong problem-solving, and clear communication.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience working on enterprise-scale applications.
• Expert-level programming knowledge in Java.
• Proficient in Spring Boot framework for building micro-services.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with AWS services.
• Experience with Linux distributions (CentOS/RHEL).
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and debug highly scalable micro-services and enterprise-grade applications.
• Integrate existing applications with Moody’s SSO and authentication systems.
• Migrate legacy components to the cloud following cloud-native best practices.
• Prototype new technologies to evaluate their suitability for adoption.
• Perform bug fixes and enhancements to ensure reliability and stability.
• Provide production support and maintain optimal uptime for applications.
• Tune performance to meet scalability and latency requirements.
• Write clean, maintainable Java code following best practices.
• Communicate project status clearly to stakeholders and document throughout the SDLC.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software aligned with client needs.
