The role involves hands-on development, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to documentation, testing, and deployment activities across the project lifecycle in a government client environment.

Qualifications

• Involved with all facets of the software development process.
• Able to work independently and provide guidance to others.
• 60 months experience with J2EE technologies (JDBC, JSP, XML).
• 60 months experience developing Java EE applications using modern IDEs.

Responsibilities

• Obtain business requirements to develop automated applications which meet business priorities.
• Provide programming duties for tax related applications.
• Develop and mentor staff using J2EE, Spring, JSON, JavaScript and JDBC.
• Develop and review detailed documentation for system and program change requirements including specifications documents.
• Assist and provide guidance through all phases of the project management life cycle.
• Develop unit test plans and conduct unit testing and debugging of code changes.
• Coordinate migration of code changes from development to user test environment.
• Assist team members with distributed technologies including Java, DB2, XML and XQuery; mentor staff.
• Provide support for defects and issue resolution with priority-based responses.
• Facilitate and participate in meetings with ITS and customers.
