Job summary

Talent Portus is seeking a Software Developer Level 3 Java to develop and maintain Java-based UPHN interfaces for NYS immunization data exchange, onsite in Menands, NY. The role requires expertise in Spring Boot, Java EE, REST, WSDL/SOAP, and databases.

You will support HL7 messaging, onboarding, and conformance testing, while improving performance, reliability, and high availability. Lead developers, review requirements, and guide technical solutions in a 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software development experience.
• 6+ years Java experience including Spring Boot/Java EE.
• 6+ years relational database experience (Oracle/PostgreSQL preferred).

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, MIS, or equivalent.
• 6+ years software development experience.

• 6+ years relational database experience Oracle/PostgreSQL preferred.
• US work authorization.
• Must be willing to work onsite in Menands, NY.

Preferred:

• 6+ years Angular/TypeScript & SPA development.
• REST API security/authentication/authorization.
• Git & branching strategies.
• CI/CD experience.
• Healthcare/ HL7 experience is a strong plus.
